Part Time Accountant - Anne Arundel County, MD

About the Company and Part Time Accountant Opportunity:

• CFS is working with a new client, a club in East Anne Arundel County, to find a Part Time Accountant
• This is a newly created role due to growth. The Part Time Accountant will work with a small, welcoming, tight knit accounting team. Company boasts a relaxed work environment in a beautiful location
• Schedule: Fully on site. Hours: Up to 24 hours per week, 2-3 days per week within 9am-5pm, M-F
• Reports to the CFO
• Pay: $26-33/hour depending on experience
• Ideal start: mid May 2025

• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

• Perform ongoing cash flow analysis to support financial planning

• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions

• Conduct bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed

• Collaborate on budget planning, supporting leadership with financial forecasting and analysis

• Partner with the CFO to streamline financial reporting processes and enhance the efficiency and clarity of internal reports

Qualifications for the Part Time Accountant:

• 3+ years' general accounting experience required
• Experience using an accounting ERP system required
  • Experience with Northstar a plus, but not required
• Experience performing accounting duties for a social club a plus, but not required
• Basic Excel skills
• Analytical, easygoing, professional, and polite
