About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as the direct support to and extension of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), helping to drive operational excellence across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can both execute the COO's vision and serve as a trusted advisor, stepping in to represent the COO when necessary. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on operational expertise to drive business performance, efficiency, and growth while maintaining commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. The Chief of Staff reports to the Chief Operating Officer and plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with the COO to develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency, quality, and organizational growth
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's long-term vision
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for operational improvement and innovation
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging operational trends and best practices

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and special projects to improve operational systems, processes, and policies
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans
  • Establish operational KPIs and performance standards across the organization
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and quality
  • Manage operational risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

 

Team Leadership

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence
  • Champion our company culture and values throughout the organization

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with executives across the organization to align operational capabilities with business needs
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, vendors, and clients
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in senior leadership
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations in a high-growth environment
  • Experience in financial services or fintech strongly preferred

 

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of financial technologies, payment systems, and digital banking platforms
  • Experience with operational and financial data analytics
  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in financial services
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and security protocols
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with process automation technologies
  • Working knowledge of risk management frameworks
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Proficiency with data analysis and operational management tools
