Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our client’s finance team. This role provides a strong opportunity for career development and offers an excellent work-life balance with a hybrid work model in Vancouver, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries and journal entries
• Oversee monthly reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Take a lead role in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and in line with organizational goals
• Provide guidance and support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Ensure the integrity of accounting records and maintain proper documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and support business decision-making
• Assist in managing internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations
• Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function to increase efficiency
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of relevant general ledger accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Experience with accounting software (NetSuite preferred but not required)
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
• Experience in a senior accounting or supervisory role preferred
