Job Description

The Sales Executive is responsible for consulting potential customers through the qualification and selection of Emerges technology solutions, including Managed IT Services, Cloud Services, and Cybersecurity Solutions. The position is the primary contact for prospective customers throughout all sales cycle stages, from initial identification and engagement of target leads to the closing sale of new Emerge customers. The Sales Executive is expected to execute the full sales cycle with discipline and consistency, leveraging a formal sales process including prospect qualification, needs analysis, solution presentation, and closing. The ideal fit for this position will be an experienced B2B technology sales professional who loves and excels at all facets of selling, especially prospecting.

 

The Sales Executive will work closely with marketing and solutions architects to guide prospective customers through the sales process. Upon closing a prospect, the Sales Executive will closely engage with our Customer Experience team to transfer the customer to an Account Manager. The Sales Executive will engage with inbound leads generated through marketing. They will also hold the responsibility of proactively generating new business opportunities through engagement with the community, networking, events, and regular prospecting activities. The Sales Exectuive will maintain a strong focus on pipeline growth and revenue generation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Management: Identify, negotiate, and close sales with prospects within Emerge's Target Customer Profile.

o Establish new accounts by organizing and planning daily work activities to build potential sales outlets and achieve sales goals.

o Follow up on new leads and referrals promptly.

o Maintain timely and accurate Deal Stage-oriented CRM and a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.

o Negotiate and close business deals within established pricing parameters.

  • Customer Engagement and Communication:

o Establish trust and rapport with prospective customers, understanding their business objectives and positioning Emerge as a long term partner.

o Communicate solutions and services professionally and effectively to decision-makers (CEO, CFO, CIO, VP of IT, etc.) through presentations, written proposals, and regular business correspondence.

o Represent and promote the Emerge brand and value proposition within the community.

o Lead engagement in marketing events, including tradeshow booth representation and group presentations.

  • Collaboration and Coordination:

o Collaborate with Marketing to engage in demand generation activities to generate qualifies sales leads.

o Collaborate with Sales Operations to produce accurate quotes and service contracts.

o Collaborate cross-functionally to align with companies policies, operational workflows, and service delivery standards.

o Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Emerge's services and solutions to meet customer outcomes.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred

· At least three years of experience in technology sales with a focus on customer acquisition

· Demonstrated proficiency in professional written and verbal communication

· Established expertise in contract negotiation

Work Conditions:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

· Up to 20% travel may be required
