Job Details Job Location Main 499 - Floresville, TX Position Type Pool/PRN Education Level High School Travel Percentage Negligible Job Shift Day Job Category Health Care Description Summary Responsible to maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer system, prepare intravenous medication, including but not limited to, chemotherapeutic preparations, hyper-alimentations and antibiotics, fill automated medication dispensing system with a supply of unit dose medications, procure, and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver supplies to nursing units. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Fills routine orders for unit doses and pre-packaged pharmaceuticals. Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles. Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication. Receives and stores incoming supplies. Counts, packages and labels unit doses for inspection by pharmacist and fills routine orders for non-prescription pharmaceuticals. Assists pharmacist as directed, including filling orders and preparing labels. Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to customer or hospital patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer. And all other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Pharmacy Technician License 6 - 12 months pharmacy experience preferred.
