Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Interventional Radiology Apply Locations: Minneapolis, MN (UMMC - East Bank) Time Type: Full time Posted on: Posted 2 Days Ago Job Requisition ID: R0025318 The Interventional Radiology (IR) APP will provide procedural and clinical care services to pediatric and adult patients at the University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC) in Minneapolis, including both East and West bank campus hospitals and the M Health Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC). This APP will join a team of 9 Interventional Radiologist physicians and 7 Advanced Practice Providers (APP) providing inpatient and outpatient care in a new APP role primarily on the West Bank. Duties will include seeing patients in the hospital and clinic, reviewing inpatient and outpatient consults, triaging and preparing case requests, reviewing pertinent imaging and being a referral resource for other medical services, carrying a pager, as well as supporting other general interventional radiology practice work tasks. Role is 100% clinical. In This Role, You Will: 1.0 FTE to support M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center East and West Bank and the Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC). Primary location West Bank. This will include working primarily Monday-Friday, daytime hours 7 am – 4 pm. Work independently performing inpatient and outpatient consultation, follow-up care, triage, order entry, reviewing pertinent imaging and being a referral resource for other medical services. Work to improve the quality of care, collaboration, and communication to patients and families in a hospital with pediatric and adult services continuing to expand. We’re Looking For a PA or NP Who Is: NP candidates must be certified through ANCC or AANP. PA candidates must be certified through the NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Minnesota state license, DEA, BLS, ACLS. Ability to complete Moderate Sedation training/privileging. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional collaboration abilities.
