This position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in IT, with opportunities for growth within the organization. Essential Job Functions Provide first-tier support for network and desktop issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting. Assist users with network connectivity problems and other IT-related concerns. Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals. Monitor and respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner. Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system. Participate in routine maintenance and upgrades of network systems. Assist in the setup of new workstations and network devices. Collaborate with senior IT staff on complex problems. Minimum Qualifications Education: Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with a two-year associate degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of advanced study or training. Experience: Over three years up to and including five years. Licenses : Valid Texas Class C Driver's. Certifications Required: A+, Network +, Server +, Security +, or ITIL certifications preferable. Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS clearance necessary to perform job duties. Additional Information A basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) is a plus. Familiarity with Windows operating systems. Desire to learn and grow in the IT field; pursuing certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) is encouraged. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
