Job Description

Job Summary: The Ford or General Motors Automotive Technician at Jones Auto Group will be responsible for performing skilled labor tasks in the automotive industry, specifically with Ford or General Motors vehicles. This is a full-time, hourly position located in Casa Grande, Arizona. The individual in this role will work as an individual contributor and report to the Service Manager. Jones in Casa Grande recently moved into a new state of the art fully air conditioned shop! Compensation & Benefits: The Automotive Technician at Jones Auto Group will receive a competitive hourly rate between $30 and $50 per hour, based on experience and skill level. This position also offers the opportunity for overtime pay. Employees are paid semimonthly and are eligible for benefits, including health insurance, dental insurance, and retirement savings plans. Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on Ford or General Motors vehicles following manufacturer guidelines and dealership procedures
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and software
  • Complete all work orders accurately and efficiently, maintaining high quality standards
  • Communicate with Service Advisors and customers regarding repair timelines, costs, and necessary services
  • Keep work area clean and organized, following all safety protocols and dealership guidelines
  • Stay up-to-date with technical knowledge and training, attending factory-sponsored training sessions and online courses
  • Adhere to dealership policies and procedures, ensuring that all work is performed ethically and with integrity
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, technical or vocational training in automotive repairs is preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience working as an Automotive Technician, preferably with Ford or General Motors vehicles
  • Professional certification, such as ASE certification, is a plus
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug test
