Your Role: Assistant or In-Training (IT) Director of Rehab

As the Assistant or IT Director of Rehab, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Director of Rehab with the efficient management of rehabilitation services in your assigned account(s). Your contributions will help integrate rehabilitation services across various settings, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill in for the Director of Rehab in their absence.
• Assist therapy staff in identifying and removing barriers to treatment while providing clinical education tailored to patient needs.
• Support the efficient and profitable management of rehabilitation services in various sites and home care contracts.
• Help manage Powerback Rehabilitation personnel and consultants within facility or home care contracts.
• Assist in conducting or coordinating timely annual merit reviews for therapy staff.
• Continue direct patient care while supporting daily staffing and utilization.
• Contribute to budget management through revenue enhancement and expense control.
• Analyze financial performance and identify areas for clinical growth.
• Prepare facility reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure compliance with practice acts and oversee clinical management of the rehabilitation department.
• Attend facility meetings and share information as directed by the Director of Rehab.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Must meet the requirements for a Director of Rehab or Assistant Director of Rehab.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.
• Master's degree in Physical Therapy, or a related field with a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience.
• Physical Therapy degrees earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
• Three years of direct patient care experience, with at least one year of management experience in a rehabilitation setting.
• Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing is required.
