Cornell Custom Construction is looking for a new Project Manager / Superintendent for a commercial project! We specialize in luxury new-builds, complete home renovations/additions, and commercial projects in the Southern California area.

Our owner, Toby Cornell, is a third Generation builder who took over the family business 27+ years ago. Cornell Custom Construction has been blessed to have been busy building dream homes ever since! We pride ourselves on having extremely satisfied customers, and our customer service is unparalleled from the industry standard. That’s one of many things that sets Cornell Custom Construction apart from the rest of the competition. We are a small but mighty team, and looking to add someone hardworking to our family!

We have been blessed enough during this time to stay busy with new projects, and are currently looking for a full-time Site Superintendent / Project Manager to oversee an upcoming commercial project located in Ontario.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities would include:

  • Ability to be on the jobsite site Monday - Friday (full time position)
  • Schedule and manage all subcontractors on the job site
  • Able to review and understand jobsite plans
  • Manage projects from planning to completion
  • Ensure job is up to city code
  • Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule
  • Monitor work to ensure it meets Cornell's standards
  • Able to travel to various material supply stores - if needed (Ex. Home Depot, Hardware stores, etc.)
  • Keeping the job site organized and clean on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • Must have prior experience on commercial projects
  • Degree preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of commercial construction
  • Great problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Must know how to read and analyze construction plans
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization and multitasking
  • Effective leadership abilities, like motivation, goal-setting and conflict management
  • Ability to stand for several hours at a time
  • Capacity to lift up heavy objects when needed

Salary is projected to start at $90k/year with room for negotiation depending on experience.
