Responsibilities:
Global Collaboration: Work closely with the Assistant General Manager to provide comprehensive feedback to the global project management team responsible for CW1 development.
Regional Advocacy: Serve as the primary liaison, effectively communicating the unique needs and requirements of the Americas region (US, Mexico, Canada, Brazil) to the CW1 project management team.
Regulatory Compliance: Conduct thorough analysis of system developments to guarantee adherence to all relevant ocean shipping regulatory requirements within the region.
Implementation & Training: Provide hands-on assistance with CW1 implementation, including user training and support, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal system utilization.
Workshop Participation & Reporting: Actively participate in CW1 development workshops, contributing valuable insights and feedback on behalf of the Americas region. Prepare detailed reports summarizing workshop outcomes and recommendations for the Ocean Cargo Division.
Essential Duties:
Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager to provide feedback to the global project management team developing CargoWise 1 (CW1).
Communicate the needs of countries in the Americas Region (US, Mexico, Canada, Brazil) to the project management team.
Analyze system developments to ensure it meets regulatory requirements for ocean shipping.
Assist with CW1 implementation and training.
Attend CW1 development workshops, actively participate in the workshops providing feedback for the Americas region and report results to Ocean Cargo Division.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in ocean cargo management.
Extensive knowledge of ocean shipping regulations and compliance requirements in the Americas region.
Proven experience with CargoWise 1 (CW1) or similar freight management systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex system developments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and regional stakeholders.
Ability to conduct effective training sessions and provide user support.
Strong understanding of project management principles.
Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a strong asset.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
