Position Title: On Mountain Busser Business Unit: Summit House Position Reports to: Restaurant Manager, Supervisor Positions Reporting to this Role: None Location: Washington Wage Range: $16.50-$18.50 + Tips DOE JOB SUMMARY Bussers are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area by clearing dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables. They assist servers by setting tables with the necessary utensils, napkins, and condiments before guests are seated. Bussers also help refill water glasses and provide guests with any additional requests, such as extra napkins or silverware. They ensure the dining area is always tidy, sweeping or wiping down floors and surfaces as needed. Additionally, bussers collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that dishes are efficiently delivered and that the restaurant runs smoothly during service hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Assist servers/bartenders by clearing empty plates, utensils, and glasses when guests are finished eating/drinking.
- Clearing, wiping and resetting tables when guests leave the dining room.
- Assist in restocking utensils, glassware, and other dining room needs.
- Customer Service: A friendly, relaxed demeanor, courteousness and quick service will help you get repeat customers.
- Stamina: Expect long, busy days on your feet. You also might need to lift heavy objects like trashbags, kegs, or pallets of stock.
- Teamwork: You will be working with servers, hosts, bartenders and cooks to make a great dining experience. Being a team player is essential.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS- - Applicant must be able to ski/snowboard - all on-mountain employees will be ride tested prior to their first day.
- This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
