Position Purpose: We are looking for qualified candidates to teach on the Sedalia campus during the day time, teaching Painting or Ceramics classes at our main campus in Sedalia during future semesters. Preferred MFA in the subject matter they wish to teach or a related field with 18 graduate hours. BA or BFA will be considered with equivalent work experience.
Essential Job Functions: - Instruct assigned courses using predetermined textbooks and curriculum
- Utilize technology (including Canvas)
- Gradebook/feedback up-to-date within 1 week in Canvas
- Timely response to student emails within 24 hours
- Meet attendance and final grade entry deadlines
- ILO/data reporting to Lead Instructor/Division as requested
- Maintain communication with Lead Instructor and Associate Dean
- Other duties as deemed necessary for the function of the college.

Required Qualifications Education/Experience: - Master's degree in area seeking to teach required or related Master's of Fine Arts degree with minimum of 18 graduate hours in specialty area (painting or ceramics)
- Prior teaching experience at the college level and experience with computer mediated instruction preferred.
Skills: - Possess a working knowledge of computers as a medium to manage and improve instruction.
- Demonstrate evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate student centeredness. Be able to interact with a broad range of people with diverse backgrounds both on and off campus, in a positive manner.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college.
- A willingness to take on additional responsibility and work collaboratively
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements: - Ability to interact verbally in person, over the telephone, and via written and electronic media.
- Ability to move about campus and other locations.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
