Accountant/Cost Accountant (Biotechnology Space)-Local Phoenix AZ Candidates only

Vaco is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented  Accountant to join a dynamic company in the Phoenix area. In this role, you'll oversee accounting operations, drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and position the company for successful growth. You will collaborate with various departments and maintain a close partnership with Finance. Additionally, you'll manage daily financial operations and supervise the accounting team.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations including cash
• Cost Accounting and Inventory Management experience
• GAAP and month-end close experience
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Prepare financial management reports
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
• Support of budget and forecast activities
• Prepares bridge analysis for the P&L
• Prepares monthly sales tax

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA a huge plus but not required
• 3+ years of experience
